Esmark Stars 16U holds on for 3-2 win against Thunder Bay Kings 16U

Thunder Bay Kings 16U tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Esmark Stars 16U held on for a 3-2 victory.

Esmark Stars 16U took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have Thunder Bay Kings 16U storm back on a Fletcher Anderson goal 12:02 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Esmark Stars 16U was sparked by Nicholas Carretta, who finished with one goal and one assist. Carretta scored 5:31 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Esmark Stars 16U. Alex Singley assisted on the tally.

Esmark Stars 16U kept Thunder Bay Kings 16U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Seth McKay made 31 saves on 34 shots.

Esmark Stars 16U additionally got points from Antonio Binotto, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jacob McClelland also scored for Esmark Stars 16U. In addition, Esmark Stars 16U received assists from Sean Traynor, who had one.
