Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as California Titans 16U defeated Minnesota Magicians 16U American in a shootout 2-1.

The two teams needed 12 turns to complete the shootout. Minnesota Magicians 16U American's shootout goal was scored by George Grannis. California Titans 16U also got a shootout goal from Denis Moiseev.

California Titans 16U came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. California Titans 16U was down 1-0 after a goal by Minnesota Magicians 16U American's Jackson Suchy at 7:30 in the second period. California Titans 16U knotted things up at 1-1 on a goal by Cameron Manory at 14:09 in the third period.
