Washington Little Capitals 16U downs Pursuit of Excellence 16U, 5-2

Maxwell Simpson registered one point to lead Washington Little Capitals 16U to a 5-2 victory over Pursuit of Excellence 16U.

Washington Little Capitals 16U's offense rang up 43 shots on Pursuit of Excellence 16U's net.

Washington Little Capitals 16U also had goals scored by Matthew Vermont, who had two and Ethan Docking and Drew Lorinchak, who each put in one. In addition, Washington Little Capitals 16U received assists from John Billingsley, who had two and Theodor Lenz and Thomas Martin, who contributed one each.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U was helped by Chase Sakic, who racked up one goal. Sakic scored on the power play 42 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pursuit of Excellence 16U. Pursuit of Excellence 16U earned a power play opportunity when Martin was put in the box for slashing. Thomas Spink assisted on the tally. Pursuit of Excellence 16U also got a goal from Riley Smoler as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pursuit of Excellence 16U were Dylan Hilman, who had one.

Alec Coakley recorded 16 saves for Washington Little Capitals 16U. Washington Little Capitals 16U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Pursuit of Excellence 16U's Noah Desouza stopped 38 shots out of the 43 that he faced. Pursuit of Excellence 16U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
