Chicago Mission 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Honeybaked 16U power plays. Chicago Mission 16U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Jacob Pivonka also scored for Chicago Mission 16U. More assists for Chicago Mission 16U came via Mathieu De St Phalle, Hunter Lellig, and Ben Perkins, who contributed one each.

Honeybaked 16U forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 10 minors and one major for 35 minutes in penalty time. Honeybaked 16U surpassed its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. Honeybaked 16U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Chicago Mission 16U to score on any of its three power plays.
