Pikes Peak Miners 16U tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Meijer AAA 16U held on for a 3-1 victory. A goal by Nick Orr put Meijer AAA 16U up 3-0 in the second period, but Pikes Peak Miners 16U pulled to within two on Luke Lonneman's tally 10:03 into the third period.
