Esmark Stars 18U uses fast start to beat Pursuit of Excellence 18U, 7-2

Pursuit of Excellence 18U fell behind early, and Esmark Stars 18U kept piling on the points on the way to a 7-2 victory.

Esmark Stars 18U got the win with help from a great game by Beau Heakins, who had two goals and two assists. Heakins scored the first of his two goals at 14:19 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Esmark Stars 18U. Ben Friedland picked up the assist. Heakins' next tally made the score 5-0 Esmark Stars 18U with 18:53 left in the second period. Cam Williams provided the assist.

Esmark Stars 18U outdid its season average for goals scored. Esmark Stars 18U averages 3.3 goals per game. Esmark Stars 18U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 40 minutes in penalties during the game.
