Wenatchee Wolves 18U beats Arizona Bobcats 18U 3-1 after comeback scare

Arizona Bobcats 18U tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Wenatchee Wolves 18U held on for a 3-1 victory.

A goal by Will Connors put Wenatchee Wolves 18U up 3-0 in the third period, but Arizona Bobcats 18U pulled to within two on Tony Cimato's tally 9:52 into the third period.

Wenatchee Wolves 18U was led by Hayden Givens, who registered one goal. Givens scored 13:20 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Wenatchee Wolves 18U. Max Roth picked up the assist.

Wenatchee Wolves 18U forced Arizona Bobcats 18U goalie Blake Bjella to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Wenatchee Wolves 18U also got a goal from Thomas Hendry as well. More assists for Wenatchee Wolves 18U came via Hunter Alden, Griffin Wiencek, Richie Stickle, and Jonathan Banovetz, who each chipped in one.

Arizona Bobcats 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Wenatchee Wolves 18U to score on any of its five power plays.
