Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 18U vanquishes Washington Little Capitals 18U in shootout, 3-2

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 18U defeated Washington Little Capitals 18U in a shootout 3-2.

The shootout lasted for nine attempts between the teams.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 18U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Washington Little Capitals 18U power plays.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 18U was helped by Mike Morrissey, who racked up one goal. Morrissey scored 10:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1.
