Hein's goals lift Meijer AAA 18U to 4-0 victory over Wenatchee Wolves 18U

Meijer AAA 18U relied on the scoring touch of Ryan Hein, who netted two goals, to beat Wenatchee Wolves 18U, 4-0.

Hein found the back of the net 1:15 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Meijer AAA 18U and again while 9:18 into the second to make the score 2-0 Meijer AAA 18U.

Meijer AAA 18U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Meijer AAA 18U's defense was surprisingly good. Meijer AAA 18U allows 2.1 goals per game. Wenatchee Wolves 18U was unable to stop Meijer AAA 18U from sending pucks towards the net, and Meijer AAA 18U eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Meijer AAA 18U also got points from Caleb Hite, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Grant Ledford also scored for Meijer AAA 18U. In addition, Meijer AAA 18U received assists from Tyrone Bronte and Zack Olen, who each chipped in one and Jonah Oman and Pat Modaff, who contributed two each.

Wenatchee Wolves 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Meijer AAA 18U to score on any of its three power plays.

Dawson Minder made 16 saves for Meijer AAA 18U on 16 shots. Meijer AAA 18U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Max Flynn recorded 30 saves for Wenatchee Wolves 18U. Wenatchee Wolves 18U incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
