Washington Little Capitals 18U vanquishes St. Louis Selects 18U in shootout, 3-2

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Washington Little Capitals 18U defeated St. Louis Selects 18U in a shootout 3-2.

The shootout lasted for 10 attempts between the teams.

Washington Little Capitals 18U came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Washington Little Capitals 18U fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by St. Louis Selects 18U's Joey Rosa at 4:12 in the second period. Washington Little Capitals 18U knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by David Leitzel at 14:26 in the third period.
