Hite found the back of the net 6:35 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 14:47 into the second to make the score 2-1 Meijer AAA 18U.

Meijer AAA 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow San Diego Jr. Gulls 18U to score on any of its four power plays. Meijer AAA 18U kept San Diego Jr. Gulls 18U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Wyatt Monear made 27 saves on 31 shots.
