Pursuit of Excellence 18U squeaks by Thunder Bay Kings 18U, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Pursuit of Excellence 18U escaped with a 4-2 victory over Thunder Bay Kings 18U.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Brandyn Howg's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

In the losing effort, Thunder Bay Kings 18U was paced by Jacob Brown, who racked up two goals. Brown scored the first of his two goals short handed at 6:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thunder Bay Kings 18U. A high sticking call on Carter Pellerin put Thunder Bay Kings 18U on the penalty kill. Brown's next tally short handed made the score 2-1 Thunder Bay Kings 18U with 7:56 left in the first period.
