Torrico's goals lift M3-Tampa-University of to 4-1 victory over M3-Miami University of

The M3-Tampa-University of Spartans relied on the scoring touch of Garrett Torrico, who netted two goals, to beat M3-Miami University of, 4-1.

Torrico found the back of the net 1:07 into the second period to make the score 1-0 M3-Tampa-University of and again while 17:53 into the third to make the score 3-1 M3-Tampa-University of.

M3-Tampa-University of excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. With 51 shots on target during the contest, the Spartans exceeded the 33.8 shots they average per game this year.

M3-Tampa-University of additionally got points from Jacob Peterson, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M3-Tampa-University of also got a goal from Nicholas Martin as well. In addition, M3-Tampa-University of received assists from Evan Stawarz, Alexander Carde, Devon Calvert, Joe Tully, Corey Tudor, J.B Cline, and Matt Antonacci, who contributed one each.

M3-Miami University of failed to reach its usual level of shot production, putting 20 pucks on goal after averaging 28.5 shots per game this season.

M3-Miami University of was led by Austin Siemion, who scored the team's only goal. Siemion scored 5:40 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Justin Hara picked up the assist.
