In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Coachs Corner escaped with a 5-3 victory over Deep Cove Jets.

Coachs Corner gained the winning advantage on a goal by Bradley Crompton 5:10 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

The win gave Coachs Corner a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Crompton was all over the ice for Coachs Corner, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Crompton scored the first of his two goals at 7:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Coachs Corner. Crompton's next tally made the score 4-3 Coachs Corner with 14:50 left in the second period. Lucas Johnston picked up the assist.

Coachs Corner excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.
