Ouellette leads Les Canadiennes over Brampton Thunder, 4-0

Les Canadiennes' Caroline Ouellette had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in her team's 4-0 win over Brampton Thunder.

Ouellette beat Erica Howe with a shot 5:21 into the second period on the power play to make the score 1-0 Les Canadiennes. A hooking penalty on Whitney Hannah-Horne had put Les Canadiennes on the power play. Julie Chu assisted on the tally. Ouellette dished an assist on Marie-Philip Poulin's goal that made the score 3-0 Les Canadiennes at 19:49 into the second period. He added another helper on Poulin's goal that made the score 4-0 Les Canadiennes at 5:45 into the third period.

Les Canadiennes excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Les Canadiennes forced Brampton Thunder goalie Howe to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Les Canadiennes also got a goal from Emmanuelle Blais as well. In addition, Les Canadiennes received assists from Carly Hill, who had two and Lauriane Rougeau, Kim Deschenes, and Karell Emard, who contributed one each.

Brampton Thunder did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Brampton Thunder puts an average of 2.8 pucks into the net per game. Brampton Thunder's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Brampton Thunder finished with 14 penalty minutes.

Charline Labonte recorded 15 saves for Les Canadiennes. Les Canadiennes incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Erica Howe made 37 saves for Brampton Thunder on 41 shots.
