Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) vanquishes Boston Advantage (mm) in shootout, 2-1 (3-2 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) defeated Boston Advantage (mm) in a shootout 2-1 (3-2 SO).

The shootout lasted for 28 attempts between the teams. Boston Advantage (mm) got shootout goals from Ryan Doolin and Zack Brissette. In addition to the clincher, Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) got shootout goals from Andreas Aune and Erik Middendorf.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) was led by Che Landikusic, who registered one goal. Landikusic scored on the power play 8:01 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm). A tripping penalty on Matt Lane had put Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) on the power play. Jeremy Gabriele picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) were Demetrios Koumontzis, who had one.

Boston Advantage (mm) found itself short handed often, totaling 26 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays.
