Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) outlasts CT Wolfpack (mm), 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) escaped with a 3-2 victory over CT Wolfpack (mm).

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) gained the winning advantage on a goal by Dmitri Karnaukh 12:50 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) got the win behind a great game by Brett Hahkala, who had one goal and two assists. Hahkala scored 12:29 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Chandler Koper provided the assist.

In the losing effort, CT Wolfpack (mm) was led by Gabriele Valente, who registered two goals. Valente scored the first of his two goals at 4:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 CT Wolfpack (mm). Lincoln Hatten assisted on the tally. Valente's next tally made the score 2-1 CT Wolfpack (mm) with 8:28 left in the first period. Kyle Browder picked up the assist.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) forced CT Wolfpack (mm) goalie Erik Gordon to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots.

Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) also got points from Karnaukh, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Koper, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.

CT Wolfpack (mm) stifled Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

More assists for CT Wolfpack (mm) came via Daniel Crossen and Dash Quartarolo, who each chipped in one.
