Fitzpatrick, Lockport blank Wilkes-Barre, 8-0

Sam Fitzpatrick was superb between the pipes for Lockport, as he did not allow a goal in an 8-0 victory over Wilkes-Barre.

Ryan Logar was all over the ice for Lockport, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Logar scored 11:06 into the third period to make the score 6-0 Lockport. Christopher Gasiewicz picked up the assist.

Lockport's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Wilkes-Barre power plays. Lockport's offense rang up 42 shots on Wilkes-Barre's net. Lockport bested its season scoring average. Lockport has scored at the pace of 4.3 goals per game during the current campaign. Lockport could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lockport also got points from Jordan Pocobello, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Mark Friol, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Gasiewicz, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Lockport included Kurt Villani, Frank II Vecchio, and Austin Kasperek, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Lockport were Erick Santiago, Jake Andriaccio, and Andrew Logar, who each chipped in one and Gibson Stuart and Dylan Jenkins, who contributed two each.

Wilkes-Barre was held below its usual level of production. Wilkes-Barre averages 3.0 goals per game. Penalties took their toll on Wilkes-Barre, as its penalty kill unit let in four power play goals. Wilkes-Barre found itself short handed often, totaling 36 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays.

Lockport's Fitzpatrick stopped 25 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Devin Peterson rejected 34 shots on goal for Wilkes-Barre.
