New York survived a determined comeback attempt by Jersey Shore on the way to a 7-6 win. A goal by Sean Lake put New York up 7-3 in the second period, but Jersey Shore pulled to within one on Travis Valvo's tally 19:58 into the third period. New York forced Jersey Shore's goaltenders to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots and forcing 31 saves. Breadan Colgan made 25 stops and Scott Albertoni made six. New York excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.
