Walker's big game bests Roc City in 4-2 Syracuse win

Nate Walker was all over the ice for Syracuse, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Syracuse's 4-2 win over Roc City.

Walker scored at 12:34 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Syracuse and again while 19:38 into the third to make the score 4-2 Syracuse.

Syracuse put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Roc City to score on any of its four power plays. Roc City was unable to stop Syracuse from sending pucks towards the net, and Syracuse eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Syracuse additionally got points from Brendan Sand, who also had one goal and one assist. Syracuse also got a goal from Ryan Gilroy as well. In addition, Syracuse received assists from Kyle VanWagner, who had two and Dan Buehler and Rocco DeRollo, who contributed one each.

Roc City was held below its usual level of production. Roc City puts an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game.

Roc City was helped by Sam Cammilleri, who registered one goal. Cammilleri scored 12:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Syracuse. Aidan Conolly picked up the assist. Brandon Corey also scored for Roc City. Other players who recorded assists for Roc City were Cameron Clark, Anthony DePetres, and Justin Allen, who each chipped in one.

Syracuse's VanWagner stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Syracuse incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Justin Nevinger rejected 30 shots on goal for Roc City. Roc City incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
