New England wins tough contest against East Coast, 4-3

The game between New England and East Coast was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end New England emerged with a 4-3 win.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Jake Latham at 15:25 of the third period.

New England was led by Latham, who had one goal.

In the losing effort, East Coast was sparked by Matt Bauchman, who racked up two goals and one assist. Bauchman scored the first of his two goals at 3:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 East Coast. Mason Smith provided the assist. Bauchman's next tally made the score 3-3 with 3:51 left in the second period. East Coast had gotten the advantage when New England's Brian Glover was sent off for interference. Smith picked up the assist.

New England kept East Coast's goalie busy throughout the game, and Travis Spangle made 30 saves on 34 shots.

New England also had goals scored by Steve Crocker, John Krapian, and Ian Gately, who each put in one. More assists for New England came via Arya Saliany, Nick Johnson, Jared Simmons, and Chris Benschneider, who each chipped in one.

East Coast also got points from Tom Potter, who also registered one goal and two assists.

Robbie Campbell recorded 26 saves for New England. New England incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. East Coast incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
