In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Jersey Shore escaped with a 4-3 victory over Roc City. Jersey Shore gained the winning advantage on a goal by Zach Roth 18:21 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Christian Cooley and John Rubin provided the spark for Jersey Shore, combining for three goals and two assists. Cooley racked up two goals and Rubin also added one goal and two assists. Jersey Shore was held below its usual level of production. Jersey Shore puts an average of 6.1 pucks into the net per game. Jersey Shore's offense rang up 40 shots on Roc City's net. Jersey Shore struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 56 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays. Jersey Shore also got points from Roth, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Rubin, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Jersey Shore received assists from Frederic Ampleman, who had two and Bogdan Khvatov and Dylan Plsek, who contributed one each. Roc City could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 46 minutes in penalties during the game. Roc City was led by Cameron Clark, who tallied two goals. Clark scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:22 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Roc City had gotten the advantage when Jersey Shore's Jared Schneider was sent off for slashing. Justin Allen picked up the assist.
