Roc City beats Lewiston/Auburn 5-2 as Corey gets hat trick

Lewiston/Auburn could not stop Roc City's Brandon Corey, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Corey's first goal came 17:33 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:35 into the second and at 18:28 into the third.

Roc City stifled Lewiston/Auburn's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Roc City also got points from Anthony DePetres, who also racked up one goal and three assists and Justin Allen, who also had one goal and four assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Roc City were Cory Della Stua, who had one.

Lewiston/Auburn's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Roc City power plays. Lewiston/Auburn could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Lewiston/Auburn averages 4.1 goals per game. Roc City was unable to stop Lewiston/Auburn from sending pucks towards the net, and Lewiston/Auburn eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Lewiston/Auburn's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Lewiston/Auburn averages 1.6 goal allowed per game. Lewiston/Auburn could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lewiston/Auburn was helped by Brett Bittner, who racked up one goal. Bittner scored 12:18 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Laim McGrath assisted on the tally. Lewiston/Auburn also got a goal from Dylan Vrees as well. In addition, Lewiston/Auburn received assists from Walker Hamilton, Colby Siering, and Jordan Crowe, who each chipped in one.
