Hunter Soden netted a hat trick to lead Syracuse over East Coast, 4-1.

Soden's first goal came 8:59 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:58 into the third and at 13:15 into the third.

Syracuse put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow East Coast to score on any of its three power plays. Syracuse forced East Coast goalie Aidan Critchlow to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

Nate Walker also scored for Syracuse. Other players who recorded assists for Syracuse were Kelsey Head, Rocco DeRollo, and Nicholas Chalifoux, who contributed one each.

East Coast was led by Matt Bauchman, who scored the team's only goal. Bauchman scored 12:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 East Coast. Preston Palamara provided the assist.

Kyle VanWagner rejected 22 shots on goal for Syracuse. Syracuse totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Critchlow recorded 42 saves for East Coast. East Coast incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
