Huge game by Warrick boosts New York over Northeast, 11-0

Jimmy Warrick had two goals and four assists to lead New York to an 11-0 victory over Northeast.

Warrick scored at 9:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New York and again while 15:20 into the second to make the score 7-0 New York.

New York's penalty kill excelled, as New York gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

New York stifled Northeast's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. New York forced Northeast goalie Trevor Trudeau to work between the pipes, taking 65 shots. New York's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, New York averages 4.9 goals per contest. The defensemen of New York were also effective in Northeast's zone, and came away with two goals.

New York also got points from Eric Hewitt, who also registered one goal and one assist, Daniel Backstrom, who also racked up two goals and four assists, Sean Lake, who also had one goal and one assist, and Dominick Sacco, who also finished with three goals and two assists. New York also had goals scored by Martin Grinberg and Chris Hozza, who scored one goal each. In addition, New York received assists from Robert Kalata, Jerome Emanuel, Nick Jean-Louis, Augie Onorato, and Ricky Regala, who each chipped in one and Shawn Eastman and Philip Pistraya, who contributed two each.

Northeast managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Northeast wound up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. Northeast was held below its usual level of production. Northeast puts an average of 2.8 pucks into the net per game.

New York's Stephen Mundinger stopped 24 shots out of the 24 that he faced. New York incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors and had no power play opportunities. Trevor Trudeau made 54 saves for Northeast on 65 shots.
