Jersey Shore rolls over Maine, 6-1

Jersey Shore had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over Maine.

Jersey Shore's penalty kill excelled, as Jersey Shore gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Jersey Shore was sparked by Freddie Schaljo, who finished with one goal and one assist. Schaljo scored 6:26 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Jersey Shore. Ben Wingbermuehle picked up the assist.

Jersey Shore stifled Maine's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Jersey Shore's offense rang up 40 shots on Maine's net.

Jersey Shore additionally got points from Jared Karas, who also registered one goal and one assist, Frederic Ampleman, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and John Rubin, who also racked up two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Jersey Shore also got a goal from Christian Cooley as well. In addition, Jersey Shore received assists from Alexander Tan, Frederic Villeneuve, Bogdan Khvatov, and Tyler Goclan, who each chipped in one.

Maine excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Jersey Shore's Scott Albertoni stopped 15 shots out of the 16 that he faced. Jersey Shore incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. William Dunham made 34 saves for Maine on 40 shots. Maine incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
