Maine outlasts Northeast, 3-2

The game between Maine and Northeast was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Maine emerged with a 3-2 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Sam Dedian secured the win for Maine with a goal in the second period.

Maine was sparked by Dedian, who racked up one goal. Dedian scored short handed 19:09 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Maine. Maine played down a man on Taylor Browne's slashing.

Northeast was unable to stop Maine from sending pucks towards the net, and Maine eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Others who scored for Maine included Noel Fischer and Jordy Knoren, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Maine were Riley Lavoie, Ryder Parkhurst, and Shayne Plummer, who contributed one each.

Northeast forced Maine goalie Brandon Daigle to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Northeast was helped by Kevin Perry, who registered one goal and one assist. Perry scored 13:19 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Northeast. Alex ODowd provided the assist. Northeast also got points from Derric Trudeau, who also tallied one goal and one assist.

Brandon Daigle made 33 saves for Maine on 35 shots. Maine incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. Trevor Trudeau recorded 35 saves for Northeast. Northeast finished the contest with no penalties and went 1-for-3 with the man advantage.
