Vrees' hat trick boosts Lewiston/Auburn over Northeast, 4-2

Dylan Vrees netted a hat trick to lead Lewiston/Auburn over Northeast, 4-2.

Vrees' first goal came 11:33 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:55 into the third and at 18:08 into the third.

Lewiston/Auburn's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Northeast power plays. Lewiston/Auburn kept Northeast's goalie busy throughout the game, and Trevor Trudeau made 52 saves on 56 shots.

Colby Siering also scored for Lewiston/Auburn. Other players who recorded assists for Lewiston/Auburn were Walker Hamilton, Jon Paul Chauvin, and Mark Ferullo, who contributed one each.

Northeast's offense was handcuffed by Lewiston/Auburn's defensive play, and Northeast managed only 14 shots on goal during the game. Northeast could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

Northeast was helped by Derric Trudeau, who tallied one goal. Trudeau scored 7:05 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Northeast also got a goal from Alex ODowd as well. In addition, Northeast received assists from Adam Carvalho and Kevin Perry, who each chipped in one.

Lewiston/Auburn's Claes Endre stopped 12 shots out of the 14 that he faced. Lewiston/Auburn incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
