Skylands had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over East Coast. East Coast was stymied by Skylands' netminder Mathias Yttereng, who stopped 34 shots during the victory. Yttereng managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.81 prior to the game. Skylands pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 48 penalty minutes. Skylands' offense rang up 49 shots on East Coast's net. Skylands was helped by Alex Linquito, who had one goal. Linquito scored short handed 7:31 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Skylands. A high sticking call on Zach Mazzarisi put Skylands on the penalty kill. Hunter Ledwith provided the assist. Skylands additionally got points from Matt Sinatra, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Ledwith, who also tallied two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Ernest Komarnitskii, who also registered one goal and one assist. Skylands also got a goal from Antonio Martiniello as well. In addition, Skylands received assists from Cole Skelly and Mike King, who each chipped in one and Cory Decosta and Alec Sanchez, who contributed two each. East Coast forced Skylands goalie Yttereng to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. East Coast found itself short handed often, totaling 68 penalty minutes and allowing nine power plays. East Coast was led by Curtis Harper, who scored the team's only goal. Harper scored on the power play 16:52 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Skylands. East Coast had gained a power play chance when Martiniello was whistled for tripping. Mason Smith assisted on the tally. Skylands ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Skelly was ejected from the game. East Coast's Travis Spangle stopped 43 shots out of the 49 that he faced. East Coast registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Team's Harper and Albert Wiggins were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
