East Coast survives Northeast comeback, wins 5-3

East Coast survived a determined comeback attempt by Northeast on the way to a 5-3 win.

East Coast made the score 5-1 on a goal by Mason Smith at 18:10 in the second period, and Northeast got as close as 5-3 when Kevin Perry scored 10:36 into the third period.

East Coast's offense was sparked by Rick Mulligan, as he ended with four assists in a victory against Northeast.

East Coast forced Northeast goalie Trevor Trudeau to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. East Coast bested its season scoring average. This season, East Coast averages 2.6 goals per contest.

East Coast additionally got points from Smith, who also registered one goal and one assist and Jon Macdonald, who also tallied one goal and two assists. East Coast also had goals scored by Curtis Harper, Preston Palamara, and Albert Wiggins, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for East Coast were Kyler Harding and Nick Padgett, who contributed one each.

Northeast kept East Coast's goalie busy throughout the game, and Aidan Critchlow made 28 saves on 31 shots.

Others who scored for Northeast included Austin Braley and Derric Trudeau, who each put in one. In addition, Northeast received assists from Zachary Smith, who had two and Marcus Shellhammer, Brendan Collins, Travis Hyde, and Conor Harrington, who each chipped in one.

East Coast incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Trevor Trudeau made 29 saves for Northeast on 34 shots. Northeast incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
