Cape Cod boosted by Zemba's play in net, beats Lewiston/Auburn 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Anton Zemba helped Cape Cod defeat Lewiston/Auburn, 4-1.

Cape Cod's penalty kill excelled, as Cape Cod gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Cape Cod was paced by Chuck Costello, who registered one goal and one assist. Costello scored short handed 16:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Cape Cod. Cape Cod found itself down a man on Frank Oakley's slashing.

Cape Cod stifled Lewiston/Auburn's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Cape Cod forced Lewiston/Auburn goalie Claes Endre to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Cape Cod additionally got points from Mike Jessman, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cape Cod also had goals scored by Dylan Legarie and Eric Szeker, who scored one goal each. More assists for Cape Cod came via Zack Goodman and James Brosnan, who contributed one each.

Lewiston/Auburn forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time.
