Flanagan leads Wilkes-Barre over Roc City, 9-3

Ryan Flanagan had four goals and one assist to lead Wilkes-Barre to a 9-3 victory over Roc City.

Flanagan's first goal came 25 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 13:47 into the first, at 18:08 into the first, and at 7:34 into the second.

Wilkes-Barre's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Roc City power plays. Wilkes-Barre surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, Wilkes-Barre averages 3.1 goals per contest.

Wilkes-Barre also got points from Bryce Bostian, who also had one goal and two assists. Wilkes-Barre also had goals scored by Jacob Lillidahl, who had two and Zacharia Ouladelhadjahmed and Derrick Wruble, who each put in one. In addition, Wilkes-Barre received assists from Connor Landregan, who had five and Matthew Emerick, Nicholas Vitanovec, Shaun Simmons, and Jackson Goodman, who contributed one each.

Roc City excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Roc City was helped by Anthony DePetres, who registered one goal. DePetres scored short handed 2:01 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Wilkes-Barre. Roc City was on a disadvantage when Matt Corey went off the ice for roughing. Aidan Conolly picked up the assist. Roc City additionally got points from Sam Cammilleri, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Roc City also got a goal from Brandon Corey as well. Other players who recorded assists for Roc City were Joseph Gardner, who had one.

Nolan Bivolcic made 18 saves for Wilkes-Barre on 21 shots. Wilkes-Barre incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Ian Stahl took the loss and made eight saves before being replaced by Quinton Rose who made 10 saves. Roc City incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
