Matthew Simoncelli netted a hat trick to lead Roc City over Wilkes-Barre, 7-3.

Simoncelli got on the scoresheet 10:40 into the second period. He then added goals at 15:48 into the second and at 6:15 into the third.

Roc City's penalty kill excelled, as Roc City gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Roc City forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Roc City had been averaging 22.0 minutes in penalties per game. Roc City stifled Wilkes-Barre's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
