Weiss lifts New England over East Coast, 5-2

Kyle Weiss was all over the ice for New England, as he tallied two goals in New England's 5-2 win over East Coast.

Weiss found the back of the net 12:16 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 1:47 into the third to make the score 2-1 New England.

New England forced East Coast's goaltenders to work between the pipes, launching 36 shots and forcing 31 saves. Travis Spangle made 29 stops and Aidan Critchlow made two.

New England also had goals scored by Brian Glover, Steve Crocker, and Ryan Gauvin, who each put in one. In addition, New England received assists from Brandon Hamner, who had two and Nolan Arbuckle, Tim Paige, Ian McNamara, and Jake Latham, who each chipped in one.

East Coast stifled New England's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

East Coast was helped by Ryan Monte, who tallied one goal. Monte scored on the power play 10:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 East Coast. East Coast had gotten the advantage when New England's Nick Johnson was sent off for hooking. Andrew Irving assisted on the tally. Matt Moreschi also scored for East Coast. Other players who recorded assists for East Coast were Michael Bellmore, Rick Mulligan, and Max Campbell, who contributed one each.

New England's Robbie Campbell stopped 18 shots out of the 20 that he faced. New England incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. East Coast incurred 42 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For East Coast, Moreschi was ejected from the game.
