New England rips Skylands, 7-1

New England had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over Skylands.

New England was led by Jake Latham, who had one goal and one assist. Latham scored on the power play 16:45 into the first period to make the score 2-0 New England. New England had taken the advantage when Skylands' Cole Skelly got sent off for slashing. Steve Crocker picked up the assist.

New England stifled Skylands' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Skylands was unable to stop New England from sending pucks towards the net, and New England eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. New England outdid its season average for goals scored. New England averages 3.3 goals per game. New England's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as New England finished with 24 penalty minutes.

New England additionally got points from Arya Saliany, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Crocker, who also registered one goal and one assist, and John Krapian, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. New England also had goals scored by Derek Lovejoy, Brendan Miller, and Ian Gately, who scored one goal each.
