Jersey Shore survived a determined comeback attempt by Wilkes-Barre on the way to a 2-1 win.

A goal by Bogdan Khvatov put Jersey Shore up 2-0 in the second period, but Wilkes-Barre pulled to within one on Ryan Flanagan's tally 5:11 into the third period.

Jersey Shore was paced by Khvatov, who tallied one goal. Khvatov scored 7:03 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Jersey Shore. Jared Karas picked up the assist.

Jersey Shore was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 21.0 minutes per game Jersey Shore had been spending in the box. Jersey Shore excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Jersey Shore was held below its usual level of production.
