Skylands gutted out a close 3-2 win against New England.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Hunter Ledwith secured the win for Skylands with a goal in the third period.

Skylands got the win thanks to a great game by Ledwith, who had two goals and one assist. Ledwith scored the first of his two goals at 12:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Skylands. Cory Decosta assisted on the tally. Ledwith's next tally made the score 3-2 Skylands with 3:19 left in the third period. Ernest Komarnitskii picked up the assist.

Skylands also got points from Komarnitskii, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Skylands were Cole Skelly, who had one and Tim Vant, who had two.

New England excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. Skylands was unable to stop New England from sending pucks towards the net, and New England eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

New England was helped by Jake Latham, who registered two goals. Latham scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 16:08 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Skylands. A hooking penalty on Alec Sanchez had put New England on the power play. Ryan Gauvin assisted on the tally. Latham's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 12:28 left in the third period. Steve Crocker picked up the assist. In addition, New England received assists from Brian Glover, who had one.

Mathias Yttereng made 34 saves for Skylands on 36 shots. Skylands incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. New England's Devyn Levesque stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. New England incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
