New York gutted out a close 5-3 win against East Coast. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Phillip Garcia secured the win for New York with a goal in the second period. Michael House had one goal and three assists to lead New York. House scored 34 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 New York. Jimmy Warrick picked up the assist. New York pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 31 penalty minutes. New York stifled East Coast's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. New York forced East Coast goalie Aidan Critchlow to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. The defensemen of New York were also effective in East Coast's zone, and came away with two goals. New York additionally got points from Robert Kalata, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Warrick, who also had one goal and two assists, and Garcia, who also registered one goal and one assist. Nick Jean-Louis also scored for New York. Other players who recorded assists for New York were Eric Hewitt and Ricky Regala, who contributed one each. East Coast was often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 20.0 minutes per game East Coast had been spending in the box. East Coast put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow New York to score on any of its four power plays. New York was unable to stop East Coast from sending pucks towards the net, and East Coast eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. East Coast was helped by Tom Potter, who tallied one goal. Potter scored 15:53 into the third period to make the score 4-3 New York. Mark Morava assisted on the tally. East Coast also had goals scored by Andrew Irving and Preston Palamara, who scored one goal each. More assists for East Coast came via Rick Mulligan, who had three and Ryan Monte and Jon Mathieu, who each chipped in one. Stephen Mundinger rejected 30 shots on goal for New York. Critchlow recorded 35 saves for East Coast. East Coast registered zero goals on six power play opportunities.
