Syracuse's Rocco DeRollo scored 3:58 into overtime to beat Cape Cod, 3-2 (OT).

Syracuse pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

Syracuse was led by DeRollo, who registered one goal.

Syracuse also had goals scored by Tucker Bartenslager and Nicholas Sanborn, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Syracuse were Cameron Fields, Raymond Rowe, and Dan Buehler, who each chipped in one.

Cape Cod managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Cape Cod ended up below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game. Cape Cod forced Syracuse goalie Kyle VanWagner to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Cape Cod was helped by Dan Moore, who finished with one goal. Moore scored on the power play 12:49 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Cape Cod had gotten the advantage when Syracuse's Richard Hart was sent off for interference. James Brosnan picked up the assist. Cape Cod also got a goal from Anthony Giannelli as well.

VanWagner rejected 40 shots on goal for Syracuse. Syracuse registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Jonathan Stone made 20 saves for Cape Cod on 23 shots. Cape Cod registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
