Jersey Shore's JaColbie McGowan had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over Skylands.

McGowan got on the board by slotting home a goal 12:29 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Jersey Shore. Alexander Tan provided the assist. McGowan dished an assist on Tyler Goclan's goal that made the score 1-0 Jersey Shore at 2:29 into the first period. He added another helper on Tan's goal that made the score 3-1 Jersey Shore at 7:12 into the third period.

Jersey Shore's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Skylands power plays. Jersey Shore kept Skylands' goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan Barghout made 47 saves on 53 shots. The defensemen of Jersey Shore were also effective in Skylands' zone, and came away with two goals.

Jersey Shore additionally got points from Tan, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Jersey Shore also got a goal from Jared Karas as well. In addition, Jersey Shore received assists from Frederic Ampleman, who had three and Ben Wingbermuehle, Scott Hansen, Travis Valvo, and Bogdan Khvatov, who each chipped in one.

Skylands stifled Jersey Shore's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Skylands was held below its usual level of production. Skylands puts an average of 5.8 pucks into the net per game.

Skylands was helped by Ernest Komarnitskii, who finished with one goal. Komarnitskii scored 4:03 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cole Skelly picked up the assist. Skylands also got points from Hunter Ledwith, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Tim Vant also scored for Skylands. More assists for Skylands came via Cory Decosta, who had one.

Scott Albertoni made 21 saves for Jersey Shore on 24 shots. Jersey Shore incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Skylands incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
