Vrees nets hat trick, leads Lewiston/Auburn to 8-1 win over Northeast

Dylan Vrees netted a hat trick to lead Lewiston/Auburn over Northeast, 8-1.

Vrees' first goal came 17:48 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:22 into the second and at 4:56 into the third.

Lewiston/Auburn forced Northeast's netminders to work between the pipes, ripping 50 shots and forcing 42 saves. Steven Murphy made 33 stops and Leo Lake made nine. Lewiston/Auburn put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Northeast to score on any of its five power plays.
