Huge game by Linquito boosts Skylands over Wilkes-Barre, 6-2

Alex Linquito was all over the ice for Skylands, as he tallied four goals and one assist in Skylands' 6-2 win over Wilkes-Barre.

Linquito notched his first tally 5:15 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:21 into the second, at 17:12 into the second, and at 5:19 into the third.

Skylands forced Wilkes-Barre goalie Mathieu Beaudet to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Skylands additionally got points from Cole Skelly, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Hunter Ledwith, who also registered one goal and four assists. More assists for Skylands came via Cory Decosta, who had two and Aaron Segnello and Ernest Komarnitskii, who each chipped in one.

Wilkes-Barre's offense rang up 32 shots on Skylands' net.

Wilkes-Barre was helped by Stephen Aponik, who tallied one goal. Aponik scored 6:31 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Nicholas Vitanovec assisted on the tally. Wilkes-Barre also got a goal from Lucas Ethington as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wilkes-Barre were Tanner Kahlau, who had one and Derrick Wruble, who had two.

Mathias Yttereng recorded 30 saves for Skylands. Skylands totaled 29 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-1 on the power play.
