Mundinger leads New York to shutout victory over Syracuse

Stephen Mundinger recorded a shutout against Syracuse as New York picked up a 3-0 win.

New York was paced by Martin Grinberg, who registered one goal. Grinberg scored 11:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New York. Jimmy Warrick assisted on the tally.

New York stifled Syracuse's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. New York's offense rang up 39 shots on Syracuse's net.

New York also had goals scored by Shawn Eastman and Gunther Stange, who scored one goal each. In addition, New York received assists from Jerome Emanuel and Ricky Regala, who contributed one each.

Syracuse excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Syracuse forced New York goalie Mundinger to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Mundinger rejected 37 shots on goal for New York. New York incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Kyle VanWagner made 36 saves for Syracuse on 39 shots. Syracuse incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
