LA Jr. Kings (MM) hangs on, beats Boston Advantage (MM) 3-1

LA Jr. Kings (MM) beat Boston Advantage (MM), 3-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

A goal 2:37 into the first period by Sean Cullinane proved to be the game winner, and powered LA Jr. Kings (MM) to the victory. A cross checking penalty on Tim Weinstein had put LA Jr. Kings (MM) on the power play. Austin Koss picked up the assist.

Cullinane had a great game for LA Jr. Kings (MM), netting two goals.

LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s Robert Jacobson was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 27 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Jacobson will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.76.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. LA Jr. Kings (MM) found itself short handed often, totaling 14 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays.

LA Jr. Kings (MM) additionally got points from Jett Shibata, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for LA Jr. Kings (MM) came via Wyatt Light, who had one.

Boston Advantage (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Boston Advantage (MM) was led by Owen Schiffmann, who scored the team's only goal. Schiffmann scored on the power play 8:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 LA Jr. Kings (MM). Boston Advantage (MM) had gotten the advantage when LA Jr. Kings (MM)'s Tanner Osterkamp was sent off for roughing. Weinstein provided the assist.
