Chicago Fury (MM) survives penalties, beats Cleveland Barons (MM), 3-1

Despite having to fight off several power plays, Chicago Fury (MM) was able to defeat Cleveland Barons (MM), 3-1.

Chicago Fury (MM) was paced by Jacob Papesh, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Papesh scored on the power play 10:49 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Chicago Fury (MM). Chicago Fury (MM) had gotten the advantage when Cleveland Barons (MM)'s Josh Norman was sent off for tripping. Daniel Maday assisted on the tally.

Chicago Fury (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. Chicago Fury (MM) forced Cleveland Barons (MM) goalie Wes Deacon to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Chicago Fury (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Chicago Fury (MM) also had goals scored by Alex Martyn and JEFFREY LOSURDO, who each put in one. In addition, Chicago Fury (MM) received assists from MICHAEL ZUFFANTE, who had two and COLIN SWOYER and Josh N Nelson, who each chipped in one.

Cleveland Barons (MM) found itself short handed often, totaling 14 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays.

Cleveland Barons (MM) was led by Casper Yonel, who scored the team's only goal. Yonel scored 11:42 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Chicago Fury (MM). James Watier picked up the assist.

Andrew Farah recorded 23 saves for Chicago Fury (MM). Wes Deacon made 33 saves for Cleveland Barons (MM) on 36 shots.
