Belle Tire (MM) rolls over Colorado Thunderbirds (MM), 4-1

Belle Tire (MM) had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over Colorado Thunderbirds (MM).

Belle Tire (MM)'s Roman Malkov was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 32 saves and let only one puck past him. Malkov certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.88 entering the contest.

Belle Tire (MM) pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 42 penalty minutes.

Belle Tire (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 11 chances. Belle Tire (MM) kept Colorado Thunderbirds (MM)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Ben Roberts made 31 saves on 35 shots.

Belle Tire (MM) was led by Michael Hodgson, who tallied one goal and one assist. Hodgson scored 5:42 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Belle Tire (MM). Joey Savel picked up the assist. Belle Tire (MM) also got points from Matt Kindred, who also had one goal and one assist and Savel, who also registered one goal and one assist. Belle Tire (MM) also got a goal from Trevor Coykendall as well. Other players who recorded assists for Belle Tire (MM) were Hunter Wendt, who had two and Chris Conway, AJ Wolfe, and Chris Lutz, who each chipped in one.

Colorado Thunderbirds (MM)'s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Belle Tire (MM) power plays. Belle Tire (MM) was unable to stop Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

For Belle Tire (MM), Wolfe was ejected from the game. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Colorado Thunderbirds (MM) ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Blake Terry was ejected from the game.
