Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) took the lead against San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 3-1 victory.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) took over the lead for good with a goal by Brett Christie at 7:37 in the first period. Jared Conroy assisted on the tally.

San Jose Jr. Sharks (MM) was stymied by Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM)'s netminder Mitchell Gibson, who stopped 29 shots during the victory. The solid play of Gibson will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.84.
