Kemptville blows out Nepean, 5-1

Nepean's power play was ineffective against Kemptville's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

73s were sparked by Alex Row, who finished with one goal. Row scored in the first period to make the score 1-0 Kemptville. Quinn Wichers and Bobby Dow registered the assists on the goal.

Kemptville stifled Raiders's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.73s kept Nepean's goalie busy throughout the game, and Francis Marotte made 32 saves on 37 shots.

Kemptville additionally got points from Tyson Kirkby, who also registered one goal and one assist and Brady Elder, who also registered one goal and one assist. Kemptville also had goals scored by Owen Guy and Cameron Bisson, who each put in one. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Dow, who had two and Kaelan OFlynn, Victor Tracy, Liam Watson, Neal Samanski, and Wichers, who each chipped in one.

Raiders put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Kemptville to score on any of their four power plays.

Nepean were led by Kari Belec, who scored the team's only goal. Belec scored in the second period to make the score 2-1 Kemptville. Martin Lavallee assisted on the tally.

Peter Brooks made 21 saves for 73s on 22 shots. Kemptville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Raiders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
