Skinner leads Hawkesbury to victory over Brockville

Brockville's power play was ineffective against Hawkesbury 's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Braves threw everything they had at Hawks's Cole Skinner, but he responded by making 30 saves to secure the win.

Hawkesbury stifled Brockville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.Hawks kept Braves's goalie busy throughout the game, and Henry Johnson made 44 saves on 46 shots.

Hawkesbury were helped by Adriano Leone, who racked up one goal.Leone scored in the third period to make the score 2-0 Hawkesbury . Eric Theander and Vincent Crivello registered the assists on the goal.Hawkesbury also had goals scored by Leone and Reid Murphy, who each put in one. In addition, Hawkesbury received assists from Theander and Crivello, who each chipped in one.

Brockville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Hawks to score on any of their four power plays.Hawkesbury were unable to stop Braves from sending pucks towards the net, and Braves eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.Braves were held below their usual level of production. Brockville averages 3.2 goals per game.

Braves were led by Thomas Dunleavy, who scored the team's only goal. Dunleavy scored in the third period to make the score 2-1 Hawkesbury .

Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Brockville incurred ten minutes in penalty time with five minors.
