Johnson leads Brockville to shutout victory over KanataKanata Recreational Complex Thu, Feb 25, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
Henry Johnson recorded a shutout against the Kanata Lasers as the Brockville Braves picked up a 6-0 win. Brockville got the win with help from a great game by Thomas Dunleavy, who had one goal and two assists. Dunleavy scored 7:58 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Brockville. Chris Chaddock provided the assist. The Braves stifled Kanata's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Brockville's defensive play was more effective than usual against the Lasers. The Braves allow 2.6 goals per game. Kanata was unable to stop Brockville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Braves eventually piled up 45 shots on goal. Brockville surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Braves average 3.2 goals per game. Brockville additionally got points from Jack Billings, who also tallied two goals and one assist and Neil Robinson, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Brockville also got a goal from Tre Folkes as well. In addition, Brockville received assists from Andrew Jarvis, who had two and Vincenzo Renda, Ian Johnston, Jack Gill, Stuart Fierheller, and Cameron Crotty, who each chipped in one. Henry Johnson made 28 saves for Brockville on 28 shots. The Braves incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jordan Vachon rejected 39 shots on goal for the Lasers. Kanata incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. |
